The Atlanta Falcons beat the Carolina Panthers 29-3 in an NFC South battle at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC on Sunday afternoon, marking the Falcons’ second straight win (after opening the season 1-7).
Matt Ryan completed 21 of 31 passes for 311 yards. He delivered a six-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to Calvin Ridley, who had a total of eight catches for 143 yards on the day. Kenjon Barner returned a punt 78 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. Qadree Ollison added a two-yard touchdown run in the second quarter for the Falcons.
Atlanta intercepted Carolina’s quarterback Kyle Allen four times and sacked him five times.
The Falcons are now 3-7 on the 2019 season. They will return to their home turf at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta to host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next Sunday at 1 pm.
