There is no doubt that many Northwest Georgians miss what has become an annual staple in the fall in this area with the absence of the Wings Over North Georgia air show this year. However, the popular event will be back in 2020! Show dates are set for October 24th and 25th. The headliner for ’20 will be the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds; this will mark their third appearance at Rome’s Russell Regional Airport.
It was announced earlier this week that air racing will be a part of next year’s air show. JLC AirShow Management received official notice of accreditation from the Federal Aviation Administration on October 1st to organize and host the recently-developed AirShow Racing Series (ARS), the newest and one of the most exciting additions to the air show industry.
