Governor Brian Kemp announced via media release on Tuesday that qualified Georgians who wish to serve in the United States Senate need to submit their applications online.
Kemp asserts, “To ensure an open and transparent appointment process, I am encouraging all Georgians who want to serve in the US Senate to submit their name and qualifications. We will carefully vet the applicants and choose a person who best reflects our values, our state and our vision for the future.”
The Governor’s Office will release additional details at the appropriate time, according to the release. The search is on for a successor to Johnny Isakson, who recently announced plans to retire on December 31st. Learn more on the governor’s website at www.gov.georgia.gov.
