The Rome-Floyd County YMCA has announced plans for their 1st annual BooFest.  The event is set for October 25th from 5:30 pm until 9 pm at Grizzard Park.  It is intended for families and children and will feature games, hay rides, story telling, a haunted house and more.  Children ages 12 and younger are encouraged to sport their Halloween costumes and participate in a costume contest, for which the grand prize is a free swimming party at the YMCA.  The cost of admission for BooFest is $5 per family.

The Y’s annual spaghetti fundraiser is scheduled for the same day.

Tickets for BooFest and the spaghetti dinner may be purchased at the YMCA on Second Avenue during regular business hours.  For more information, call (706) 232-2468.
