Georgia Tech was eliminated from the 2019 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament with a loss to Notre Dame 78-71 in Charlotte, NC on Tuesday.  The Yellow Jackets overcame a 20-point deficit at halftime, but that was not enough to withstand the Fighting Irish, who saw a seven-game losing streak come to an end.

Moses Wright was the leading scorer of the day with a career-high 25 points for Georgia Tech.  James Banks notched a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.  Michael Devoe chipped in 10 points.

John Mooney scored a team-high 20 points to go with 10 rebounds for Notre Dame, who will go on to face Louisville in the next round of the tournament this evening.

The Yellow Jackets’ season has now drawn to a close.  They finished with an overall record of 14-18.
