WORKSHOP TO OFFER A GLIMPSE INTO THE FILM FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE AHEAD OF 2017 RIFF

Written by Matt Davis on August 31, 2017. Posted in News/Weather

The Rome International Film Festival enters its 14th year in 2017.  This year, the four-day festival has been scheduled for November 9th through 12th.

Romans have an opportunity to get a taste of the film festival experience at a workshop to be held this evening at the Rome-Floyd County Library.  “RIFF 101 – An Introduction to Our Local International Film Festival” will be held in the Coosa Room of the library at 6:30 pm.

The workshop will be led by RIFF board members Ruth Demeter and Alan Guyatt.  Demeter enthuses that the film festival is one of the things attracted her to Rome and Floyd County upon moving here from Canada more than a decade ago.

“RIFF 101” is free and open the public.  A second workshop will be held on October 10th for anyone unable to attend this month.
