WINGS OVER NORTH GEORGIA 2018 TO TAKE TO THE SKIES THIS WEEKEND

Written by Matt Davis on October 8, 2018. Posted in News/Weather

It’s air show week in Rome, Georgia!  The 2018 Wings Over North Georgia air show will take to the skies this Saturday and Sunday, October 13th and 14th  at the Russell Regional Airport.  It will be headlined by the United States Air Force’s F-22 Raptor and A-10 Warthog demonstration teams.  Highlights will also include Tora! Tora! Tora!, a reenactment of Pearl Harbor complete with pyrotechnics, and performances by top aerobatic pilots Michael Goulian and Patty Wagstaff.

John Cowman, President of JLC Airshow Management, says that tickets and camping options are still available for air show weekend.  Additional details are available at www.wingsovernorthgeorgia.com.  Air show updates are also posted on social media.

Plans are already in the works for the 2019 and 2020 air shows in Rome, adds Cowman.  Aviation enthusiasts should stay tuned for further details about the headliner (and a possible change of date) for next year’s air show!

This will mark the seventh year for the Wings Over North Georgia air show to be held in Rome.
