WINGS OVER NORTH GEORGIA AIR SHOW TO GO ON AS PLANNED

Written by Matt Davis on April 16, 2013. Posted in News/Weather

The 2013 Wings Over North Georgia air show will go on as planned, in spite of the recent sequestration by the US Government.  The local air show, set for October 12th and 13th at the Russell Airport in Rome, will not include an appearance by the US Air Force Thunderbirds as originally intended, as the Thunderbirds have been grounded due to sequestration.

John Cowman, President of JLC Air Show Management, the organization which presents the Wings Over North Georgia air show, says that he’s disappointed that the Thunderbirds will not be a part of this year’s show, but (as they say) the show must go on.

Cowman is enthused about the line up for the 2013 Wings Over North Georgia airshow, which includes an appearance by the Black Diamond Jet Team.
