THIS IS THE FINAL WEEK OF EARLY VOTING FOR MAY 22ND PRIMARY AND NON-PARTISAN ELECTION

This marks the final week of advance voting for the May 22nd primary and non-partisan election.

Floyd County voters may cast their ballots in advance each day from 8 am to 5 pm through this Friday at one of three locations.  Advance voting locations include the Elections Office, located at the county’s Administration Building on East Fourth Avenue; Garden Lakes Baptist Church, 2200 Redmond Circle; and the Rome Civic Center on Jackson Hill.

Republican and Democratic voters across Georgia will choose their parties’ candidates for state posts in the primary. In Floyd County, the Superior Court judge race will be determined in this election; candidates for the post include Kay Ann Wetherington and Emily Matson.

As of Monday, a total of 850 ballots had been cast in the Republican primary while there were 364 requests for Democratic ballots.  There were also some 61 nonpartisan ballots, bring the total number of early votes to 1,275.

Polls will be open on Election Day from 7 am until 7 pm.
