Written by Matt Davis on September 7, 2017. Posted in News/Weather

Are you a sure shot?  The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office invites you to hone your shooting skills and raise money for the Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Home at the 2017 Sheriff’s Shootout.  The event will take place this Saturday at the Floyd County Wildlife Club, 909 Holland Road in Rome.

Sergeant Carrie Edge, Public Information Officer for the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, says that while she and her colleagues may have been preoccupied with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts as of late, the Sheriff’s Shootout is still on!

Contests and prizes will be featured at the sporting clays event, for which the cost to participate is $125 per shooter and $500 per registered four-man team.  Shooters may register by calling Lt. Richard Argo at (706) 252-4522.
