SUPPORT POURS IN FROM AROUND THE NATION AND ACROSS FAITHS FOR VICTIMS OF PITTSBURGH SYNAGOGUE SHOOTING

Written by Matt Davis on October 30, 2018. Posted in News/Weather

Support is pouring in from around the nation and across all faiths for those impacted by a shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue on Saturday.

Rick Stevenson, an active member of One Community United of Rome, says that the Pittsburgh shooting capped off a week full of tragic events that began with a shooting incident in Louisville and included delivery of pipe bombs to prominent Democrats around the country.  Stevenson attests that events such as these raise awareness of the need for open dialogue among leadership and local communities to avoid the threat of such tragedies elsewhere.

Stevenson adds that these are tense times for our country, but Rome residents have hope because they are making the effort to communicate.

One Community United has been on a mission since 2015 to unite people of all backgrounds.  For more information, visit www.onecommunityunited.org or search for the organization on Facebook.

Funerals begin today for the 11 victims of Saturday’s synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh.
