SUPER BOWL SUNDAY: A FAMILY AFFAIR
The NFL’s biggest game of the year, Super Bowl 47, is coming up this Sunday night in New Orleans. The San Francisco 49ers will represent the NFC and the Baltimore Ravens will represent the AFC at 6:30 pm at the Louisiana Superdome.
This year’s Super Bowl will be a matter of sibling rivalry – the 49ers’ head coach is Jim Harbaugh, and his brother, John, coaches the Ravens.
Another family that shares a love of football is the Manning family. As the wife of football legend Archie Manning and the mother of NFL stars Peyton and Eli Manning, Olivia Manning is known by football fans as “The First Lady of Football”. She said in a recent interview on WLAQ AM 1410’s Good Morning Rome that football is indeed a family tradition for the Mannings.
Manning, who lives in New Orleans, says that she’s looking forward to the Super Bowl, though neither Peyton nor Eli will be playing in it this year. She declines to pick a favorite in Sunday’s game.
Super Bowl 47 will be televised on CBS, by the way.
