ST. MARY’S KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS SERVE UP TRADITION AT ANNUAL LABOR DAY BARBECUE
The Knights of Columbus from St. Mary’s Catholic Church served up a Rome tradition at their annual Labor Day Barbecue at the Rome Civic Center yesterday.
Attendees enjoyed barbecue pork, beef, and chicken, along with all the fixings at the barbecue. Even more than that, they enjoyed the camaraderie, according to Kevin Wall, who says that the local Knights even had some assistance from fellow Knights from South Carolina.
The Labor Day Barbecue has been held for more than 40 years. Wall believes that its longevity is due to the quality of the food and the quality of the company.
Wall adds that money raised from the Barbecue will go towards local charities.
Many hard-working Knights contended that this was one of the most well-attended Labor Day Barbecues in the history of the event.
