SEVERE WEATHER AWARENESS WEEK CONTINUES WITH A FOCUS ON THUNDERSTORM SAFETY
The observation of Severe Weather Awareness Week in Georgia continues today with a focus on Thunderstorm Safety.
Tim Herrington, the director of the Floyd County Emergency Management Agency, says that residents of Northwest Georgia can be impacted by a wide variety of weather events, from lightning and thunder to tornadoes and even hurricanes. And don’t forget about those winter storms!

The Floyd EMA has joined forces with the Georgia Emergency Management Agency and the National Weather Service to make the annual observance of Severe Weather Awareness Week this week.
