ROUTE SELECTED TO LINK 411 WITH 1-75

Written by Matt Davis on November 7, 2017. Posted in News/Weather

The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced that it has selected its preferred route to connect US 411 from Floyd County to Interstate 75 in Bartow County.

Alternative 2B for the Rome-Cartersville Economic Development Corridor is now being carried forward into the detailed environmental studies and preliminary design, according to Ken Wright, the Rome-Floyd Chamber’s Director of Business and Industry Services.  The route will be modified to address the concerns of the public and stakeholders.  Ultimately, a call for construction bids is anticipated in 2022.

Updates on the project are available online at www.rometocartersville.com and on social media using the hashtag #RomeToCartersville on Facebook and via Twitter.
