ROME CITY SCHOOL BOARD FILLS VACANCIES FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR

Members of the Rome City School board voted on Thursday during a special session to fill vacancies for the 2019-2020 school year, according to a release from the school system. 

Kristen Teems, the current Principal of East Central Elementary, will assume the post of Director of Assessment and Accountability at the school system’s Central Office.  Wesley Styles will succeed Teems as new Prinicipal of East Central; he is currently Prinicipal of North Heights Elementary.  Stephanie Dean, current fifth grade teacher and Teacher Mentor Coordinator at Anna K. Davie Elementary, will become an Assistant Principal at Main Elementary. Jason Self has also been appointed Director of Safety and Security for Rome City Schools; he currently serves as the Assistant Principal for East Central

Elementary. 

All of these new positions will become effective on July 1st
