The Rome Christmas Parade is this Tuesday night!  The parade is set to traverse Broad Street in downtown Rome beginning at 6:30 pm.  The theme is “A Colonial Christmas”.  Former Rome City Manager John Bennett will serve as this year’s Grand Marshal.

Showers are in the weather forecast for Tuesday night.  In the event of rain, the parade will be moved to Thursday night.  For more information, visit www.romechristmasparade.com.

The Historic DeSoto Theatre Foundation is slated host a Christmas Parade Party on Tuesday night, whereby viewers can watch the parade from the comfort of the upstairs Reception Hall at the DeSoto.  Doors will open at 5:30 pm.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for children under 12, and can be purchased at www.venuedog.com or at the theatre’s box office.  Children under two will be admitted for free.  If rain forces the Rome Christmas Parade to be moved to Thursday night, the party will be moved also.
