The second annual Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge is just three days away!

The event will be held at the Rome City Auditorium on Saturday, August 18th at 7 pm.  Proceeds will benefit the Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia.

The center’s Executive Director, Kim Davis, anticipates a gala evening for attendees of this year’s Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge.  That will include a pre-event party at the DeSoto Theatre which begins at 5 pm.

Davis says money raised from the Dance Challenge will go towards the Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia’s mission of helping victims of sexual assault.

Tickets for the second annual Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge are $15 and $20 and can be purchased at www.rcdc.eventbrite.com.  The Coosa River Basin Initiative’s annual River Revelry:  A Biodiversity Bash is also being held on Saturday night; it’s scheduled for 6 pm until 11 pm at Heritage Park.  Those who want to attend both events can get discounted tickets to do so on the CRBI website at www.coosa.org.

You can go ahead and vote for your favorite celebrity couple online at www.romecelebritydancechallenge.com.  Votes are a dollar each with a minimum of five votes.  Voting will also be held in between each performance on the night of the event.

Matt D from 95.7 FM The Ridge and WLAQ AM 1410 and his wife Tonya, owner of BDD Consulting Services, will serve as the emcees for this year’s Rome Celebrity Dance Challenge.
