ROME BRAVES’ SERIES OPENER IN SAVANNAH AGAINST SAND GNATS RAINED OUT

The Rome Braves’ series opener with the Savannah Sand Gnats scheduled for last night in Savannah has been postponed due to rain.  It will be made up as part of a double header consisting of two seven inning games tomorrow night at 5:05 pm.  

The Braves will face the Sand Gnats tonight at 7:05 pm at Savannah’s Grayson Stadium.  The game will be broadcast on 95.7 FM The Ridge and www.theridge957.com.  Rome Braves radio voice JB Smith will go on the air with the pre-game show at 6:50 pm.

The Braves currently have a three and a half game lead in the Southern Division of the South Atlantic League.  Their series in Savannah will be followed by an off day on Monday.  They’ll get back in action at State Mutual Stadium with their final home stand of the regular season next Tuesday thru Thursday in a three game series against the Augusta Greenjackets.  Get tickets at www.romebraves.com or by calling the Braves’ ticket hotline at (706) 378-5144.
