ROME BRAVES NOTCH SECOND WIN IN A ROW OVER GREENVILLE DRIVE WITH SHUT OUT IN SC

The Rome Braves shut out the Greenville Drive 5-0 last night in Greenville, South Carolina.  It was the Braves’ second straight win over the Drive.

The Braves maintain a three and a half game lead in the Southern Division of the South Atlantic League with 31 wins and 19 losses so far for the second half of the 2012 season.  They’ll go for the sweep of the Drive as the teams go head to head in the final game of the three game series in Greenville tonight at 7:05 pm.  The game will be broadcast on 95.7 FM The Ridge and www.theridge957.com.  Rome Braves radio voice JB Smith will go on the air with the pre-game show at 6:50 pm.

Upon closing out their series in Greenville, the Braves will return to Rome for a four game series against the Lexington Legends at State Mutual Stadium that will open tomorrow night and continue thru Sunday evening.  Get tickets at www.romebraves.com.
