ROME BRAVES FALL TO LEXINGTON LEGENDS IN SERIES CLOSER

The Rome Braves remain winless for the month of June as they lost to the Lexington Legends 4-1 yesterday afternoon in the series closer between the teams in Lexington, Kentucky.

Thus ends a seven game road trip that started in Kannapolis, North Carolina and left the Braves with one win and six losses.

The Braves have a day off today and will return to action on their home field at State Mutual Stadium tomorrow night with a six game home stand that will continue thru Sunday and will bring the Greenville Drive and the Augusta Greenjackets to Rome, each for three games.  Catch all the action of Rome Braves baseball on 95.7 FM The Ridge and www.theridge957.com.  Tomorrow night’s home stand opener against the Greenville Drive is set to get underway at 7 pm.

The Rome Braves’ record currently stands at 14-43 so far for the 2012 season.  They remain in last place of the Southern Division of the South Atlantic League, 26 games back from the division-leading Asheville Tourists.
