ROME AREA PRAYER BREAKFAST SLATED FOR MAY 4TH TO COINCIDE WITH NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER
The 2017 Rome Area Prayer Breakfast has been scheduled to coincide with the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 4th. The event will be held at The Forum River Center in downtown Rome from 7 am until 8:30 am; doors will open at 6:30 am.
International speaker, pastor and author Voddie Baucham will serve as this year’s guest speaker. Event coordinator Donna Chadwick describes Baucham, who now serves as dean of a seminary in Zambia, as ‘very dynamic’ and ‘effective’.
Breakfast will be provided by the Chic-Fil-A Dwarf House. Jimmy Jordan will be presented with the Hugh Burnes Christian Service Award.
Tickets are complimentary but must be obtained by Thursday, April 27th at one of the following locations: Chic-Fil-A Dwarf House, Dogwood Books, Doug’s Deli Downtown, Duffy’s Deli, Haven Health Clinic, Honeymoon Bakery, Sweet Frog, Swift and Finch and Winslette Pharmacy.
Chadwick anticipates Baucham to be a big draw for this year’s breakfast; therefore, she urges local residents to get their tickets now.
Complimentary parking in the Third Avenue Parking Deck will be offered to attendees, courtesy of Redmond Regional Medical Center.
The event, formerly known as the Rome Leadership Prayer Breakfast, is open to one and all, adds Chadwick.
