RMS STUDENT EMERGES AS VICTOR IN RCS SPELLING BEE

Aiden West, a seventh grader at Rome Middle School, emerged as the victor in the Rome City Schools’ 2018 Spelling Bee held on Tuesday at the school system’s central office.

Aiden correctly spelled “ricochet” to take the title, according to an RCS media release.  He will now proceed to the Region I Spelling Bee set for Saturday, February 24th at Georgia Highlands College.

RMS eighth grader Emma Mendes was the runner-up.  She will serve as the alternate for the city schools in the next level of competition.
