RISING GAS PRICES NOT EXPECTED TO KEEP TRAVELERS FROM HITTING THE ROAD THIS SUMMER

Written by Matt Davis on May 10, 2018. Posted in News/Weather

The rising cost of gasoline is not expected to keep motorists from hitting the road this summer.

Garrett Townsend, a spokesman for AAA, The Auto Club Group, states that people value their summer vacations, regardless of the price at the pump.

There are ways to prevent gas prices from detracting from your travel budget.  Townsend says that you can get the best bang for your buck by ensuring that your vehicle’s maintenance is current.  Travelers may also download the AAA mobile app to locate the best gas prices in their area.

Gas prices are expected to continue to rise due to President Donald Trump’s decision to back out of the Iran Nuclear Deal earlier this week.

Discover the latest prices at the pump as well as travel resources from AAA, The Auto Club Group, online at www.aaa.com.

Some people may be traveling this week as it is National Travel and Tourism Week.  Romans may learn about the travel and tourism resources in their own backyard via the Greater Rome Convention and Visitors Bureau; the website is www.romegeorgia.org.
