Written by Matt Davis on June 11, 2019. Posted in News/Weather

Restoration Lindale, Inc. will host their annual Independence Day Parade and Festival on Saturday, June 29th

This will mark the 5th year for the parade to be held in Lindale.  Line-up will begin at 9:30 am at Pepperell Primary School.  The parade will start at 10 am, traverse Park Avenue and end at the First Baptist Church of Lindale.

Floyd County Sheriff Tim Burkhalter will serve as the Grand Marshall for the parade.  Tim Reynolds, the President of Restoration Lindale, Inc., asserts that Burkhalter, a graduate of Pepperell High, is a big supporter of Lindale.

Veterans of Lindale will serve as the honorary Grand Marshals.  There will be a wreath laying at the community’s World War 2 Memorial located in front of the Gilbreath Center, 106 Garden Avenue, at 11:30 am, says Reynolds.

The Festival will take place from 9 am until 1 pm on South 1st Street.  It will feature arts and crafts along with food vendors, enthuses Reynolds.

Reynolds encourages the public to join the June 29th festivities in Lindale to celebrate America and honor our veterans.
