PLANS IN THE WORKS FOR 2019, 2020 ROME AIR SHOWS

Written by Matt Davis on December 6, 2018. Posted in News/Weather

The team from JLC Airshow Management has spent the week making plans for the 2019 Wings Over North Georgia air show.  They are currently in Las Vegas, Nevada for the annual convention of the International Council of Air Shows.

John Cowman, President of JLC Airshow Management, says that next year’s air show will likely be held over Labor Day weekend.  He is hoping that a jet team will come to Rome, though details will not be solidified until early next year. The 2019 show will feature an appearance by the Golden Knights of the US Army.  The AeroShell Aerobatic Team will return, as will Patty Wagstaff and Buck Roetman.  Cowman also plans to add a night show back to the line-up next year.

And guess who is now slated to return to Rome in 2020?  The US Air Force Thunderbirds!

Updates on the Wings Over North Georgia air show may be obtained online at www.wingsovernorthgeorgia.com and via social media.

The 2018 convention of the International Council of Air Shows will conclude this evening.
