PARKS AND REC TO HOST DOWNTOWN CANDY CANE HUNT ON SATURDAY

Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation, in collaboration with the Downtown Development Authority, will host the fifth annual Downtown Candy Cane Hunt this Saturday, November 18th.  The hunt is for children ages 10 and under and will take place on the Town Green at 1 pm.

Sarah Grimes, Program Coordinator for Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation, enthuses, “This event is a great start to the holiday season!  We are excited to continue our collaboration with the Downtown Development Authority and our wonderful sponsors to make this event possible for the children of the community.”

Trolley rides will be offered from 11 am until 3 pm, courtesy of the DDA, with pick up and drop off at the Town Green.  Santa and Mrs. Claus will be riding along and taking pictures with kids.
