GHC TO HOST TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN SOLDIER EXHIBIT TODAY AND WEDNESDAY

Georgia Highlands College will host a Tomb of the Unknown Soldier exhibit today and Wednesday.  According to a GHC media release, the exhibit will be on display on the Floyd campus in the Lakeview Building Art Gallery.  There will be presentations and information sessions between 8 am to 5:30 pm.

ROME CITY COMMISSION MEETS TODAY; FLOYD COUNTY COMMISSION TO GATHER ON TUESDAY

The Rome City Commission will meet in regular session this evening.  They will hold a caucus session at 4 pm, to be followed by their 6 pm meeting at  City Hall (the City Auditorium) on Broad Street.  Both sessions are open to the public.

A Rome man accused of attacking his former girlfriend with a machete was arrested by US Marshalls on Thursday in Houston, Texas, reports the Rome Police Department.
