Local students with a desire to get your foot in the door of the art world, listen up!  Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation is offering an opportunity for middle and high schoolers to showcase their talent via a county-wide logo art contest.  The best design will be selected as the new face of the department.

The Atlanta Hawks will host the Toronto Raptors in NBA action tonight.  Tip off is set for 8 pm at the Philips Arena.

BRAVES BACK IN ACTION AT ‘THE TED’ TONIGHT

The Atlanta Braves were off on Tuesday night and will conclude a two game series with the Washington Nationals tonight at Turner Field.  Bud Norris is scheduled to serve as the starting pitcher for Atlanta, while Stephen Strasburg will head to the mound for Washington.  First pitch is set for 7:10 pm.  The game will be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410.  Air time for pre-game programming is 5:55 pm from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network.

ROME BRAVES TO OPEN 2016 SEASON TONIGHT

The Rome Braves will open their 2016 season tonight versus the Augusta Greenjackets at State Mutual Stadium.  The game is scheduled to get underway at 7 pm.
