NORTHWEST GEORGIA RED CROSS HELPING TORNADO VICTIMS

Written by Matt Davis on February 24, 2012. Posted in News/Weather

Red Cross volunteers from the Northwest Georgia Chapter have been working to assist victims of Wednesday night’s EF-1 tornado.  According to a release from the organization, the Red Cross is doing their part to make sure that the emergency-caused needs are met.

Jeffrey Putnam, chapter executive for the Northwest Georgia Red Cross, says, “It’s the time of year when the season’s transition and severe weather becomes a real possibility.  We ask that the community support us as we prepare for what could be an active severe weather season.”

You can help storm victims by making a monetary donation to the Northwest Georgia Red Cross by calling (706) 291-6648.
