Written by Matt Davis on January 8, 2019. Posted in Uncategorized

The United Way of Rome and Floyd County has tapped Allison Mitchell to serve as its new Executive Director, the organization announced via a press release on Monday.

Mitchell comes to Rome from Asheville, North Carolina, where she served as the Executive Director of the American Red Cross chapter covering Western North Carolina for the past two years.  She is the successor to Rich Lampkin, which resigned as UW Director back in November.  She is no stranger to this community as the Rome native was the Executive Director of the William S. Davies Homeless Shelter for almost 10 years.
