Written by Matt Davis on January 11, 2018. Posted in News/Weather

Local students aim to entertain Rome and Floyd County residents over the next couple of weeks.

The Rome City Schools will present the Rome Middle School Grand Illusion and Rome High School Grand Finale show choirs’ Roll Out Show tonight in the auditorium at Rome High, 1000 Veterans Memorial Highway.  The show is slated to begin at 6 pm.  Tickets are $5 per person, and concessions will be available.  Both of the show choirs will enter their competition season after tonight’s performance.

The Floyd County Schools’ Ensemble Theatre will present “Little Shop of Horrors” (by special arrangement with Music Theatre International) next weekend in the Model High School Auditorium, 3252 Calhoun Avenue in Rome.  Show times are 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, January 19th and 20th and 2:30 pm on Sunday, January 21st.  Tickets will cost $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors; they will only be available at the door, so interested parties are urged to arrive early.
