LIVE MUSIC TO FILL THE SEVEN HILLS OF ROME, GEORGIA THIS WEEKEND

The seven hills of Rome, Georgia will be filled with the sound of music this weekend as two special concerts are scheduled to take place.

Atlanta Rhythm Section will be back in Rome on Saturday night to perform at the City Auditorium, presented by Ready or Not.  Local favorite Scott Thompson will be their special guest.  Doors will open at 7 pm.  There will be beer and wine sales. A silent auction to benefit Network Day Services will also be held.  Tickets are $35 for reserved seating and $25 for general admissison and may be purchased online at www.ticketalternative.com (or at the door, if still available).

The ARS show is anticipated to be the ‘concert of the year’.  The band will perform favorites such as “Champagne Jam”, “Spooky”, “Imaginary Lover”, “So Into You” and “Doraville”.

Popular Athens-based musical group Futurebirds will perform tonight in a benefit concert for the Exchange Club Family Resource Center.  The concert is slated to start at 9 pm at the River City Brewing Company on Broad Street in downtown Rome.  Tickets are $20 each and may be purchased at www.freshtix.com or via the Futurebirds’ touring site at www.futurebirdsmusic.com/tour/.
