HAWKS FALL TO HORNETS IN CHARLOTTE

The Atlanta Hawks were defeated by the Charlotte Hornets 116-106 in a bout between rivals in the Southeast Division of the NBA’s Eastern Conference up in Charlotte, NC on Wednesday evening. It brought Atlanta’s latest winning streak to an end at three consecutive games, extended Charlotte’s latest streak to three in a row, and resulted in an even 2-2 split in the regular season series among those teams.

LaMelo Ball scored a game-high 22 points for the Hornets, who reached .500 with a record of 35-35.

De’Andre Hunter notched a team-high 21 points for the Hawks, who are now below .500 at 34-35.

The Hawks will return to their home court at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta to host the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night at 7:30 pm.
