HAWKS BEAT THE HEAT IN MIAMI

The Atlanta Hawks beat the Miami Heat 94-80 on Tuesday night in the finale of a twin bill at American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL. It resulted in the end of a six-game winning streak for the Heat and a victorious beginning to Nate McMillan’s time as the Hawks’ interim head coach.

Trae Young scored a game-high 18 points for Atlanta; he also had 10 assists. John Collins had 17 points, while Kevin Huerter contributed 16 points. Clint Capela had 10 points and 17 rebounds.

The Hawks improved to 15-20 on the 2020-21 regular season. They will be in Orlando to take on the Magic tonight; tip off is set for 8 pm.
