Harvey is anticipated to have an impact on the weather in the Greater Rome area.  According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight chance of severe storms for today with isolated tornadoes being the primary concern.  Heavy rain is also expected with isolated instances of flash flooding possible, mainly in poor drainage areas.  High winds have also been predicted.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms remain in the forecast for our area through midday Friday.
