HARBOR HOUSE TO BENEFIT FROM ANNUAL ROMAN RUMBLE SET FOR SATURDAY

Written by Matt Davis on September 12, 2017. Posted in News/Weather

Harbor House, the Northwest Georgia Child Advocacy Center, will benefit from the 31st annual Roman Rumble 5K and 2-Mile Health Walk to be held this Saturday.  It will begin and end at Rome’s Ridgeferry Park.

Pre-registration is available online at www.active.com through midnight this Wednesday.  Pre-registration prices are $25 for the 5K and $20 for the walk.  Race day registration costs $30 for the 5K and $20 for the walk.  Teams of 10 or more runners/walkers are eligible to receive a $5 discount per person if registration forms are submitted together by 5 pm on Wednesday.

Joe Costolnick, who recently assumed the post of Executive Director at Harbor House, says that all proceeds from the Roman Rumble will support the house – to keep the lights on, if you will.

The 5K will begin at 8 am with the walk to follow at 8:05 am.  The chip-timed 5K is USATF-certified.

Costolnick encourages the public to participate in the run/walk and support the cause.

For more information about the event, call Harbor House at (706) 235-5437.
