GOVERNOR AND FIRST LADY PAY ANOTHER VISIT TO ROME
Governor Nathan Deal and First Lady Sandra Deal were in Rome on Tuesday evening to bear witness as a group of local youngsters officially became Boy Scouts. Troop 113 held its “Arrow of Light” Crossover ceremony at First United Methodist Church in downtown Rome.
The ceremony commemorates the moment when Webelos (the highest level of Cub Scouts) officially cross over and become Boy Scouts. Deal’s grandson Ethan Wilder was among the Scouts who made the transition on Tuesday night. Ethan is the son of Carrie and Clint Wilder.
The Deals were recently in town for the Chieftains Herb and Plant Sale at which his daughter Carrie served as an advisor.
