GEORGIA TECH UPSETS MIAMI IN MEN’S HOOPS

Georgia Tech took down No. 15 Miami 64-54 in men’s college basketball on at home Wednesday night.

Josh Okogie was the top scorer of the night with a season-high 30 points for the Yellow Jackets; he also notched a season-high with nine rebounds.  Jose Alvarado chipped in 12 points.

The win over the Hurricanes marked the fourth occasion on which the Jackets have beaten a top-15 team in 20 Atlantic Coast Conference games under head coach Josh Pastner.

The Jackets now hold an even 1-1 conference record and have accumulated an even seven wins and seven losses overall.  They will return to action this Saturday night with a non-conference match at home against Yale.  Tip off is scheduled for 7 pm at the McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta.  The game will be broadcast on 95.7 FM The Ridge.
