GEORGIA TECH FALLS TO NO. 22 VIRGINIA TECH IN ACC MEN’S HOOPS

Georgia Tech lost to No. 22 Virginia Tech 76-68 in ACC men’s basketball on Wednesday night in Blacksburg, Virginia, marking the sixth straight loss for the Yellow Jackets. 

Michael Devoe led all players in scoring with 22 points for the Jackets, who fell to 11-14 overall and 3-9 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.  James Banks added 15 points. 

Ty Outlaw led the charge for the Hokies with 20 points.  Kerry Blackshear Jr. and Nickeil Alexander-Walker each had 16 points. 

The Yellow Jackets will return to their home court at the McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta this Saturday for a conference match against No. 17 Florida State.  Tip off is slated for 2 pm.  The game will air on 95.7 FM The Ridge. 

Georgia Highlands College’s Chargers were defeated by South Georgia State 89-84 down in Waycross, GA on Wednesday night.  Chris Wright led GHC in scoring with 26 points.
