GEORGIA TECH FALLS TO FLORIDA STATE IN ACC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, HEADED FOR HYUNDAI SUN BOWL
Though the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets put up a good fight, they fell to the Florida State Seminoles 21-15 in the ACC Championship Game on Saturday night in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Jackets are Bowl game-bound; they’ll face the University of Southern California in the Hyundai Sun Bowl on December 31st in El Paso, Texas. The game will be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410, Rome’s radio home for Georgia Tech football.
In other college football news, the Georgia Bulldogs came oh-so-close, but were not able to overcome the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday as the Tide took a 32-28 victory over the Bulldogs to head to yet another BCS National Championship Game. The Bulldogs are slated to take on Nebraska in the Capital One Bowl on January 1st in Orlando.
