Written by Matt Davis on October 6, 2017. Posted in Sports

Friday night lights will shine tonight as area high school football teams take the field for week seven of the 2017 season.  Only a handful of local teams have games scheduled for this week; schools in Region 7-AA have the night off for Fall Break.

WLAQ AM 1410 is your radio home for Darlington football and will have all the action as the Tigers hit the road to take on the Eagles of North Cobb Christian in Kennesaw.  The Region 6-A match is slated to get underway at 7:30 pm; broadcast coverage will begin a few minutes prior to kick off and can also be heard online at www.wlaq1410.com.

This will be a bye week for the Northwest Georgia High School Football Game of the Week on 95.7 FM The Ridge.

The latest episode of “Gridiron Pickers”, brought to you by Riverside Auto Group.com, will air this evening at 5 pm on WLAQ AM 1410.  When all of tonight’s games have ended, you can get updates on scores from around the state via the Georgia News Network from 10 pm until midnight on WLAQ.  Those seeking scores from around the region are invited to tune into the High School Football Scoreboard Show on 95.7 FM The Ridge, brought to you by the Rome Orthopaedic Center.
