FLOYD HONORS EMPLOYEES AT CELEBRATION OF SERVICE
Floyd Medical Center honored employees for their service at their annual Celebration of Service yesterday. The event honors employees celebrating milestone anniversaries, those with distinguished professional achievements and members of teams and departments that achieved outstanding results in the previous year, according to an FMC media release.
Among those honored yesterday was Eloise Shelton, who was recognized for 45 years of service. In addition, Charlotte Austin, Health Information Management, and Margie Ammons, Polk Medical Center Dietary, were each recognized for reaching the 40-year milestone.
Also at Floyd’s Celebration of Service, Rebekah Lowrey, MD received the President’s Award, which is awarded to an individual, department or team that has contributed significantly to the organization’s strategic initiatives. The winner is chosen by Floyd president and CEO Kurt Stuenkel, who cited Dr. Lowrey’s humble leadership and her passion for excellence in honoring her with the award.
