FLOYD COUNTY MANAGER BLAINE WILLIAMS ANTICIPATES GOOD RELATIONS BETWEEN COUNTY, CITY IN 2012

Written by Elizabeth Davis on January 2, 2012. Posted in News/Weather

The New Year started off with Blaine Williams officially becoming Floyd County Manager.  Williams served as interim county manager to close out 2011, following the departure of Kevin Poe, who left Floyd County to become manager of Jackson County.

Williams said last week on WLAQ AM 1410’s “Good Morning Rome” that he anticipates that 2012 will hold continued good relations for the Floyd County Commission with the Rome City Commission.

He says that the county’s emergency communications system will continue to be a major project for the county and the city in 2012.

Prior to taking over as Floyd County’s manager, Blaine Williams served for four and a half years as assistant manager.  In addition to serving Floyd County, his resume also includes a stint with the City of Rome.
