The Floyd County Commission met in regular session on Tuesday night.  The  group voted to approve an agreement with Utility and Water Services for the  installation of 1,000 feet of eight inch ductile iron water main; it will connect to the new eight inch main installed by Floyd County and reconnect to an old main located at Old Summerville Road and Highway 27, states Floyd County Manager Jamie McCord.

In other county business, Commissioner Allison Watters was appointed to a new Joint Trails Committee with the City of Rome.  Watters attests that she looks forward to serving on the committee, spearheaded by Rome Mayor Bill Collins.
