FIDDLIN’ FEST STREET FESTIVAL TO TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY IN DOWNTOWN ROME

Written by Matt Davis on October 10, 2017. Posted in News/Weather

The streets of downtown Rome will once again be filled with music during the 2nd annual Fiddlin’ Fest street festival to be hosted by Rome’s Downtown Development Authority this Saturday, October 14th.

Megan Treglown, Public Relations Director for the DDA, says that festivities will be held from noon until 10 pm.  There will be live bluegrass music, a car show presented by the Armuchee Ruritan Club, inflatables for the kids and sidewalk sales offered by downtown merchants.

Broad Street will be closed to through traffic in the 100, 200, 300 and 400 blocks, according to Treglown.

Fiddlin’ Fest is made financially possible by the Business Improvement District (or BID).  Treglown encourages attendees to thank participating businesses by shopping with them.
