EARLY VOTING BEGINS TODAY FOR JULY 24TH RUN-OFF

Written by Matt Davis on July 2, 2018. Posted in News/Weather

Early voting begins today for the July 24th run-off election in Georgia.  Local voters may cast their ballots in advance each weekday from 8 am until 5 pm (except the 4th of July) through Friday, July 20th at the Floyd County Elections Office, located at the county’s Administration Building on East 4th Avenue in downtown Rome, or at Garden Lakes Baptist Church, 2200 Redmond Circle. Weekend voting will not be offered this time around.

The Republican party’s nominee for Georgia’s next Governor between Casey Cagle and Brian Kemp will be determined by the run-off.  The winner will go on to face Stacey Abrams in the November general election.

Those who would like more information about the run-off election, or about early voting, should call the Elections Office at (706) 291-5167.
