Jamie Doss will continue on as mayor of the City of Rome in 2018.  Doss was tapped to serve another year at the post by the Rome City Commission during its first meeting of the year on Monday night.  Bill Collins was also chosen by Commissioners to serve as mayor pro tem.

Doss was sworn in for an eighth term in office by Superior Court Chief Judge Tami Colston at the meeting.  Wendy Davis was also sworn in; this marks her second term.  Randy Quick took the oath of office for his first term in office with the Commission.  All were elected to their respective posts in Ward 2 back in November.

This year marks Doss’ fifth to serve as Rome’s mayor.
