DARLINGTON SCHOOL PLAYS HOST TO FLOYD COUNTY SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Darlington School’s Chris Hunter Memorial Stadium served as the site of the Floyd County Special Olympics on Thursday.  A total of 600 young athletes representing Rome City and Floyd County Schools, as well as the Georgia School for the Deaf, participated in the annual event.

This was the fifth year that Darlington’s ninth-grade class has hosted the

local Special Olympics, according to a release from the school.
