McChesney and will be performed by a cast of 30 plus actors, including local attorneys, college professors, businessmen and seasoned actors (such as veterans of the Rome Little Theatre).  It is set to take the stage at the Rome City Auditorium at 7:30 pm.  Admission is $5, a fee that will be waived for those who complete the Constitution Challenge that will be offered from 4:30 pm until 7 pm.  Those that pass the Constitution Challenge will also be given a restaurant discount coupon.

The Friends of the Constitution is a local organization aimed at raising awareness of the United States Constitution.  It was granted 501c3 status by the IRS in February of this year.

The US Constitution was adopted on September 17, 1787 by the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and ratified by conventions in 11 states.  It took effect on March 4, 1789.
